Our team is dedicated to helping Veterans get the disability benefits they have earned and deserve. We are experienced in all areas of veteran affairs, from medical consultations to filing claims and appeals, to getting you the compensation you deserve.

Derrick Bessant is a 20-year veteran of the United States Army. He retired in 2017 after serving in many different leadership positions, most notably as a Combat Medic. Derrick has two tours of Iraq and one tour of Afghanistan under his belt.

After retirement, Derrick relocated to Houston, Texas, where he began working as a Veteran Service Representative for the VA. In 2021, he moved to the Department of Labor and then started his own business – ECG22 – with the intention of helping Veterans understand what is needed from the VA in order to secure their benefits. ECG stands for “Every Claim Goes” and it’s Derrick’s personal goal to see that the VA does just that – make sure every claim goes through.

Derrick takes great pride in being able to help Veterans who are struggling or unable to help themselves. In fact, he has helped over 50 homeless Veterans regain access to housing by successfully filing their claims with the VA.
